Let me tell you a secret.
The biggest reason- why I can juggle all the work (writing blogs, editing videos, managing social media, planning Paper House, drawing, schoolwork, etc.) in a week, is very simple.
So easy and simple, that I didn’t believe it at first.
But my god it works.
It is to plan beforehand. Not just thinking stuff over in our head, though- but writing the plan down on paper.
You know you won’t forget anything- even when you don’t try to remember it.
That’s why I’ve been writing my weekly plans since 2017.
During the 3 years, my weekly plans has undergone numerous changes in format, content, and so on.
There are many things I want to write down on the plan- but too many items will wear us down on our slow days.
So I looked back to all my previous weekly plans, summed up, and thought them through.
And below is the weekly plan includes the items I believe are most essential.
Here’s the list of the items:
- Weekly Goal
- To-do List (3 items per day)
- Daily Care
- Notes
And this is what I filled in.
The Weekly Goal is the main goal for the whole week. You can say it’s the theme of your work- at least for the coming 7 days.
The daily To-do List is the top 3 tasks you need to do that day. I limit it to only 3 items.
As much as we love to be productive and accomplish as much as possible, juggling between too many tasks will take us out of the work flow. On our slow days, too long a list will even discourage us.
So the 3 items is to be the absolute focus. Finish these 3 tasks, and you can consider yourself successful that day. And perhaps you can do other things you want- but it won’t feel bad if you can’t manage them all.
For Daily Care, it’s for you to write down at the end of the day.
There are 4 items in Daily Care, and they are
- Time of waking up
- Time of getting to bed
- Amount of water drunk (ml/ oz)
- Time spent on the phone (mins)
The time of waking and sleeping is for you to recognize your sleep routine. Do you sleep for enough hours? Is your sleep schedule consistent?
Scientists found that sleep is extremely important for brain plasticity and waste removal. And the lack of sleep contributes to high blood pressure, headaches, and mental health issues like depression and anxiety.
Also, drinking a healthy amount of water helps weight loss and brain function. So it’s a good habit to record how much water you’ve drunk.
However, what considers as “a healthy amount” depends on a person’s weight and age.
There are many health & fitness apps that can help you calculate how much you should drink, record the amount drunk, and remind you to drink water.
I personally use the app Plant Nanny, which is available for both Android and iPhones.
As for phone time- you’ll be surprised how long you spend looking at screens.
We usually take our phone out for a couple minutes (at least we think it’s a couple minutes)- scrolling, browsing, tapping everywhere.
There are many free apps that automatically record the time you spent on your phone, like YouHour, Moment, and ZenScreen.
You can try one of those, and reflect whether it’s a healthy amount of time.

Other than a weekly planner, I also summed up a list of weekly plan ideas for reference.
They include “productivity”, “self-care”, “try new things”, and “secret project” ideas.
Just in case we have some free time on our hands- take a look at the list and try a few items out!
