There are certainly career paths that are seen as more promising, more profitable- generally more of an achievement compared to others. I am fortunate to live in this decade now, where peers are more accepting, and the internet allows ample ways to show our skills.

But there are still a few times, perhaps in the dead of night, or rocking on a long bus trip- when insecurity slowly creeps to the surface.
